"We have perfectly legitimate authorities in Ukraine, who are now in power because of our people’s will. These authorities are recognized by all the democratic community and they are working now to stabilize Ukraine after the crisis and collapse left to us by the dictatorship," Yulia Tymoshenko said in an interview with BBC, commending on claims by the Russian leadership of an unconstitutional coup in Ukraine.

She believes this is Vladimir Putin’s biased opinion about events in Ukraine. "I think this is a desperate move by Putin to hold onto his influence and power in Ukraine. The Kremlin should stop perceiving Ukraine as a territory under its control. There are no more politicians in Ukraine whom Russia can use to implement their imperialistic strategies on. And Putin must accept this," Yulia Tymoshenko said.
